Andre Writer is an R&B hip hop singer, songwriter and producer from Los Angeles, CA. Born Andre Fortier, his love of music started at a very young age. His parents, actress/singer Dwan Smith and producer/songwriter Nate Fortier, were a huge influence on him and by 5 years old he’d already recorded his first song “Money Talks But It Just Don’t Walk.” At 14yrs, he and his group 4U signed their first record deal with Holland-Dozier-Holland, the team responsible for much of the Motown sound of the 1960s. By the time he turned 15, Fortier was producing demos out of his house for up and coming artists such as Christina Milian, Felisa Mirasol, Lyrica Anderson and Max Lux.
